This year’s Literary Luncheon on Mar. 8, 2008 is one you don’t want to miss.  It’s our annual fundraiser for the AAUW Educational Foundation scholarships and support for The Pace Center For Girls.  International Eudora Welty authority Dr. Dawn Trouard will present the program, “Eudora Welty’s Vision.”  This famous Southern author’s work is quirky, eccentric and a literary delight.  Dr. Trouard, treasurer of the International Eudora Welty Society and a dynamic speaker, is renowned at presenting the author’s work in its best light.

Quote from Eudora Welty's The Wide Net:
“. . . AND ESPECIALLY Edna Earle, that never did get to be what you’d call a heavy thinker.  Edna Earle could sit and ponder all day how the little tail of the ‘C’ got through the ‘L’ in a Coca-Cola sign.”
